Marianne gave full effort to any challenge that faced her, be it in the gym, on the field, or in the office. She ran relays, competed in long jump, and was a former Mac record holder in high jump. Her leaping ability also helped her be an effective attacker on the volleyball team. A past president of the BPE Society, Marianne's dedication and spirit earned her an Edna Guest Award in 1977.
