A CIAU All-Canadian, Kairy held provincial and national records in the long jump. She competed in Outdoor and Indoor Track & Field from 1985-89 and helped lead McMaster to back-to-back Ontario Outdoor Team Championship titles in 1985 and 1986. She was the McMaster record holder in the Women's Long Jump, and the Women's 4 x 400m relay, and was the OWIAA 400m Hurdle Champion in 1985. Kairy was also the OWIAA Long Jump Champion and Senior Indoor and Outdoor Champion in Long Jump in 1989. She continued her involvement in Track & Field as a coach for many years and is presently employed as an Assistant Physical Education Department Head in Barrie. Kairy is married to Sam Loucks '89 and has three children.
