A talented striker who set scoring records on the soccer pitch, John Bottineau was a mainstay for the Marauders over his five-year varsity career. In 1994 he helped the Marauders qualify for the CIS National Tournament, where the team brought home the bronze medal. He was named a first-team OUA All-Star three times (1995, 1996, 1998) and first-team CIS All-Canadian twice (1995, 1998). Also twice named as team MVP, Bottineau saved his best for his final season in maroon, as he set a team record by scoring 16 goals in 1998, a total that led the nation.
