Spending five years with the Marauder wrestling team, Dave Rennalls impressively competed at multiple weight classes, medalling at the OUA Championships in three different categories. Capturing bronze in the 65kg class in his rookie season, Rennalls would upgrade his weight class and turn in his bronze for a silver medal, placing second at the provincial championship in his fourth season which was eventually coupled with a CIS bronze weeks later. The story book ending wasn't complete, however, until his fifth and final season. Rennalls clinched OUA and CIS gold, an elusive feat, in the 72kg weight class which ultimately garnered him the Ivor Wynne Male Athlete of the Year award later that year.
