Cecelia had an outstanding track career as Canadian Champion in several individual and relay events and also held the world indoor record in the 600 yards. Cecelia was Assistant Coach of the women's basketball team in 1974-75 and 1981-82, Assistant Coach of the women's track and field team from 1975-83 and Head Coach of the cross-country team 1977-79. She played a large role in guiding the women's track and field team to three O.W.I.A.A. Championships from 1975-77.
