C.J. Sylvanus Apps, '36

Because of his illustrious career with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Apps is most closely identified with hockey in the minds of Canadians. Besides hockey at Mac, however, he was a star halfback on the football team and also represented Canada as a pole-vaul ter at the 1934 British Empire Games and the 1936 Olympics. He is in the Canadian and Hockey Halls of Fames.
