When he wasn't anchoring the Mac football team's defensive unit, Bill sparked the offence as a running back. A powerful runner and sure-tackling linebacker, Bill was co-captain of the 1945 Intermediate Intercollegiate champions. His leadership was also evident on the basketball court where he was a starting guard his entire career and captain in his final season. After graduating, he coached several sports during his teaching career; his London Central High senior football team captured seven conference titles in fifteen years. Bill is now retired but still active at athletic alumni functions.
