BETTY (TAYLOR) CAMPBELL ‘37
Track and Field, Basketball

An outstanding track and basketball star during her McMaster years, Campbell was recognized for her exploits by being rewarded the Chancellor's Medal. She also competed in the 1932 and 1936 Olympic games, winning a bronze medal in the 80-metre hurdles at t he Berlin Games. Voted Canada's top woman athlete in 1936, she was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 1967.
