Bert's reputation as a player with a soft scoring touch was well deserved. For three years he filled the net with a deadly shooting arsenal, hitting several team milestones. Some of his records lasted over a decade. His play was also noticed beyond Mc Master when he was voted a CIAU All-Star. In his final season, Bert's leadership ability earned him the team captaincy. He is a successful lawyer, a Queen's Counsel, a recipient of the Law Society Medal for distinguished service to the profession and an outstanding community leader in Toronto.
