The accolades just keep coming for McMaster rugby star
TYLER ARDRON, as he has been named Team Captain for Canada’s U-20 team that will compete at the International Rugby Board's World Junior Trophy rugby tournament in the Republic of Georgia.
The second-year economics student just completed a sensational season that saw him captain the McMaster Rugby team to the OUA Championship and gain recognition as an OUA All-Star. He was also nominated as a finalist for McMaster’s Male Athlete of the Year Award.
Joining Ardron on Team Canada will be his McMaster teammates
ANDREW FERGUSON and
CAMERON STONES, who were also stalwarts on the OUA championship team.
Canada will compete in a pool with host Georgia, Japan and Zimbabwe. The other pool features the USA, Russia, Uruguay and Samoa. The tournament runs May 24 to June 5. The winner gains promotion to the World Junior Cup in 2012.
